We bring you to your inner journey
In connecting with your values, hope and resilience

About

"As long as the hummingbird had not abandoned the land, somewhere there were still flowers, and they could all go on."

- Leslie Marmon Silko, Writer

Hummingbird Psychological Services offer a space for you to understand yourself without fear of being judged and criticised. Trust the hummingbird brings you to your inner journey in connecting with your values, hope and resilience.

Why Choose Us

Hummingbirds, the jewels of the sky, are among the smallest birds in the world. What they lack in size are compensated with speed and flexibility. Their strength lies in their amazing ability to fly not only forward, but also backward, sideways, and straight up. We can similarly learn from these tiny wonders to outmanoeuvre all kinds of challenges to bring a positive outcome. These little breathing gems are naturally agile and energetic. They are a joy to marvel as they hop and pause while enjoying the sweet nectar from one to another. The energy that flows through them often reminds us to live life to the fullest and to enjoy simple things in life.

We chose the name of Hummingbird as it manifests our values to promote hope, to walk the clients through challenging periods by our dedicated and compassionate therapists, as well as to promote courage and resilience to achieve a life worth living.

We are a group of qualified mental health practitioners (psychiatrist, psychologist, and counsellor) who aim:

  • To provide caring, compassion and quality support to all in need.
  • To increase mental health awareness as part of strategies transforming mental health for everyone.
  • To take preventive strategies to improve and promote better psychological well-being.

How To Start

Testimonials

  • "When I met Casey, I was in a very dark season. There were several things that were going on in my life which pushed me over the edge. I had suicidal thoughts and was suffering from depression and anxiety. Casey helped me to see how I was self-sabotaging through my inner voices. She helped me to identify the many events in my life that had brought me to that place, as well as allowing me to discover a much stronger, confident and self-loving person. It was one of my greatest blessings to have worked with her for several years and she has helped me to be the best version of myself. She always sensed when I may be stumbling on my path of growth. And she was always ready to ask the right questions at the right time while offering kind and gentle insights that were beacons of light in one's dark thoughts.I looked forward to entering her office because I ALWAYS felt ten times better when I left."

    Pharmacist.

  • "When I met with Casey during consultation, there seems to be endless things I want to share with her about my life. She listen to my struggles and analyse my strengths and weaknesses. Casey understand me and provide me with useful tips to achieve my goals. The greatest strength of her counselling is that I don’t feel any imposing attitude from her. She is always polite and seek my opinions and willingness when giving advice. However, Casey can also be firm to tell me when she identifies the blindspot in me, to which I am either in denial or “sweep in under the carpet,” as she said. The skills and experience she has really help me to think through and understand myself better. There are certain words from Casey that will stay with me for a long time…they help me remind me of some of the values that matter to me, for example, kindness (especially to oneself). It’s the kindness and support that Casey has shown to her clients that makes her a successful therapist."

A baker diagnosed with social anxiety

  • "Ever since I started having consultations with Casey, it really helped lift up my mood and overall mental state. Every session gave me something to think about and reflect on which kept my mind positive and at the same time still gave me the chance to really understand more about myself. I learnt so much about how my brain thinks and whenever I had any doubts Casey definitely had my back while still giving me a new perspective on the situation."

  • "My journey with Hummingbird Psychological Services has been incredibly well. I was in a dark place when I first came into the session. I had been struggling with some personal issues for a while, so I decided to try therapy, and surprisingly, I ended up needing it more than I thought. I felt comfortable and was able to easily open up, and this has gradually helped me understand my inner self better. I have also benefited greatly from the sessions. The therapist helped me in putting many things into perspective and taught me how to cope with a variety of issues with which I had previously struggled. I really feel connected to the therapist because she has been patient, compassionate, caring, and understanding. Hummingbird Psychological Services feels like a safe space where I can not only express my concerns, but also find solutions to the problems I have been dealing with for a long time. I am extremely grateful for the healing process. Highly recommended."
